Drummond Street
In 2019, I led a bid to HS2’s Business & Local Economy Fund for Drummond Street traders, representing Euston business communities. I developed a comprehensive engagement plan and commissioned Jan Kattein Architects to create a three-stage neighbourhood plan. The bid, designed to help businesses thrive amid HS2 disruptions, secured £650,000 from HS2 and nearly £1 million in total funding.
The first stage of the Drummond Street Vision enhances visibility and activates spaces for community events. I project-managed the installation of carnival-style street furniture, redesigned 13 shop fronts, and curated cultural celebrations. To complement publica realm improvements I commissioned national press campaigns, two community-led murals and installed a climate-themed sculpture in partnership with MTArt and Camden People’s Theatre. I am now embarking on the next stage of the project, redesigning entrances to the neighbourhood with proposals of garden spaces, lighting and art.
